back from the isle of wight, it was lovely to see our old family friends but it rained A LOT! and I went in a hot-tub in the rain, I mean really? anyway just got back and saw that my page has reached over 300 views since I begun my blog at the end of March and whilst it may seem measly I am very honoured, so thankyou! The soft light, strong silhouettes and devastatingly stunning attire emphasizes the drama of the period. These shots embody the intoxicating sexiness of the age, dripping in glamour, intense serenity and ultimate sophistication. 

Shot by fashion photographer Thomas Whiteside in the January 2012 edition of ELLE magazine, the Lady in Waiting editorial is quintessentially 1950's Louis Vuitton, Dior & Fendi fashion. Despite the clear references to the socialite age of power dressing, classic fashion, the shoot does appear to tie in a fragile modernity is created through the heavy kohl makeup, delicate lace and occasional splashes of rich colour.
